Charitable giving can be complex.
No doubt, everyone who has ever given money to a charitable cause has also asked the question, ”Where does my money really go?” Have you ever asked, “does my donation stay local?”
The Community Foundation and colleagues across the East Midlands explained what a Community Foundation does.
This analogy was really helpful……
“If you need a house building, you consult an architect. If you want to make charitable donations or set up a fund, you consult your local Community Foundation.”
They are the “architects of charitable giving at a local level” They have in-depth knowledge about where your money goes and how it benefits the people you want to help with the emphasis on ‘keeping it local’.”
