With a grant from the Bill and Jean Richmond Foundation, PASIC were able to continue to provide support to families during difficult times. The grant contributed to the cost of family event manager, enabling PASIC to make a significant positive impact to families facing childhood cancer in Leicestershire. Family fun is often the first thing to be forgotten when a child is diagnosed with cancer, and it can help families access other support.
PASIC ensures that every family still gets to spend time together, whether at home, hospital or at our face-to-face events. The rising cost of living has hit families facing childhood cancer particularly hard. The financial support and supermarket vouchers they offer for families make a big difference. The Family Event Manager works closely with our Family Support Workers to identity families in need of additional support, and to facilitate special memories tailored to the young person and their family. This support has made a big difference during incredibly difficult times.
