
Fantastic to attend the AGM of Hinckley and Rugby Building Society, whose fund with the Community Foundation, is now in its third year. The AGM launched a new year of support to local charitable groups doing some fantastic work in our communities.
This year, projects chosen were on the themes of poverty and disadvantage, mental and physical health and wellbeing and Environment, wildlife and biodiversity. Selected for grants this year were Bodie Hodges Foundation (£2,521), Carers Trust Heart of England (£5,000), Feed the Hungry UK (£5,000) Green Towers Hinckley Club 4 Young People (£4,800), Hinckley Homeless Group (£4,764), Stand Against Violence (£3,800), The Hygiene Bank (Lutterworth Project) (£3,000).
In addition, Hinckley and Rugby Building Society offer volunteer support from their many in-house skills, to help groups with their work.
