Grant purpose
With funding from Efficiency East Midlands, the EEM Foundation will fund projects that do one or more of the following in Leicester/shire and Rutland, Derby/shire or Nottingham/shire
- Support Social Mobility: For example, training or mentoring that supports people who face exclusion through poverty or disadvantage to progress in education, employment or enterprise.
- Build Life Skills: Confidence-building, financial literacy, digital skills, communication, problem-solving, resilience or other life competencies that help people into work.
- Enable Employment Pathways: Pre-employment training, CV/interview workshops, apprenticeships, volunteering-to-work schemes or support with job applications.
Key information
Deadline: 9am Monday 13th October 2025
Grant size: Up to £5,000, although typical grants to be £2,000-£3,000
Priority: Young people (aged 16–25) who face disadvantage that affects their access to employment opportunities. The fund will also focus on women, people from the global majority, those who have experienced homelessness or the criminal justice system, meaning they struggle to get employment opportunities.
Geographical focus: Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Derby and Derbyshire
Delivery period: Successful applicants are expected to deliver their activities 1st January – 31st December 2026
Who can apply: Not for profit organisations, including charities, CICs and constituted community organisations with a minimum of 3 committee members/Directors. Please see Grant Information Pack for more eligibility information.
