Women in Philanthropy
These short films show some of the projects funded by the Women In Philanthropy Fund.
Women in Philanthropy (WiP) is one of the most innovative funds under the Community Foundation platform. The WiP fund began 10 years ago as a membership network of women from across Leicestershire and Rutland who shared the goal of improving local life.
Over the last 10 years, WiP has supported 26 local charitable groups and given over £124,000 in grants. Collectively, WiP has built up a “future proof” invested fund of over £162,000, the income from which is paid out in grants to 3 local groups that were chosen by the founding members.
The WiP charitable groups represent all of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and a wide range of local needs. Almost all the groups supported by the WiP fund are still working well and hard to meet local needs.
WiP supporters may pay anything annually from £40 to £500 or more – whatever you can afford to give, knowing it will all go to local charities and help keep our area thriving. All money raised will continue to be divided between the investment pot (so we keep growing it for ongoing support and legacy) and three grants to local groups will be made in the year (with investment income added).
WiP welcomes support and donations to continue building it’s legacy. If you would like to make a donation, please use the form below.
