The festival season has started, and the people of Leicestershire, especially those with children don’t need to go far to have an unforgettable experience!
Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation awarded The Friends of Hollycroft Park £1,000 from the Local Donors Fund to enable them to run their ‘Worldfest’ again in 2013.

The event has been established in Hinckley for five years now, and local people keep coming back, whatever the weather!
“People come and visit and then the next year they become our volunteers!” said Rod Parker, from The Friends of Hollycroft Park.
This year promises to be a global picnic in the park as usual. There will be Caribbean food as well as Mexican and Indian for those who like their stuff spicy.
The event will include activities for the whole family – drumming workshops, face painting, hair braiding, circus skills and craft sessions, as well as a stage where there will be lots of live music all day long.
It is a great event, bringing the community together to celebrate the diversity of Leicestershire.
