Efficient Portfolio, Rutland’s first Chartered Financial Planning firm celebrated its tenth anniversary at the end of last year with a black-tie ball to raise funds for the county’s ‘For Rutland in Rutland’ charity.
Held at the Falcon Hotel in Uppingham, nearly 100 clients, friends and supporters of Efficient Charitable Portfolio attended the sparkling event, which raised a fantastic £4,260. The Charity Anniversary Ball included guest speaker Geoff Miller OBE, an auction and raffle, with music by local band ‘The Supernovas’.
Efficient Portfolio, based in Seaton near Uppingham, was founded by Charlie Reading who said “Our clients are at the centre of everything we do, and we understand that charitable giving is something dear to many of the people we work with. Most people want to donate money to a wide range of charitable causes, but making the arrangements to give to multiple charities can be a time-consuming process, and this often deters people from making the contributions they would want. That’s why the team and I set up the Efficient Charitable Portfolio in 2013, to facilitate giving to a wide range of causes in an easy, transparent and effective way.”
The Efficient Charitable Portfolio is managed by Leicestershire & Rutland Community Foundation. Each year Charlie and his team select two or three charities to donate to. For 2016-17UNICEF was selected, alongside ‘For Rutland In Rutland’ – who offer free, confidential and impartial advice to local people affected by cancer, dementia, strokes and other long term health conditions.
Charlie, who is a keen cyclist, has also taken part in 3 gruelling bike rides over the past year, raising a further £1671 for The Efficient Charitable Portfolio.
