Director, The Samworth Foundation (about 14 hours per week on average. Flexibility on phasing.)
The Samworth Foundation seeks a part time Director to be responsible to the Trustees for the management, strategy and policy of the Foundation. This is a new role.
The Samworth Foundation is a family grant-giving charitable Trust disbursing £1.75 million per year. Its two main current work streams relate to very marginalised young people, and to protecting and enhancing the environment, with roughly equal expenditure in the UK (with a special interest in the East Midlands as well as nationally) and internationally. The Trustees aim to use the flexibility and independence of a family Foundation strategically to make a real difference.
Location: based at Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. Much of the work can be carried out from home, but the Director is expected to be in the Melton Mowbray office regularly, eg about once a fortnight.
Salary: c. £60,000 per year (pro rata).
