Vista, who are the leading local charity supporting people with sight loss, has received a grant of £5,000 from the Community Foundations Support Fund to provide portable privacy screens that enables visitor access to its care home residents.
The grant was funded via money from the National Emergencies Trust and has enabled residents to safely meet up loved as lockdown eases.
The portable screens are easily moved around the homes and therefore suitable for allocated seated visitor areas for those who are mobile, but also for bed bound residents, many of whom are receiving end of life care.
All residents now have an opportunity to reunite with their loved ones and they are in daily use.
