With a grant from the Bobby Dhanjal Foundation, Forward Thinking Movement and Dance were able to provide gifts to over sixty children at their Christmas fun day last year, run to bring the magic of Christmas to children with special needs and disabilities in Leicester.
Most of the group’s pupils are unable to access the usual Christmas activities due to the noise and crowds, so the Fun Day provided an ordered day where the children were able to meet Santa, see his grotto and receive a Disney toy as a gift.
FTM Dance Director Leanne Evans said: “This grant allowed us to bring the magic of Christmas to children with special needs and disabilities in Leicester. The fun day was a great success, the children loved the grotto we were able to build and the gifts we were able to give them through the funds raised by Bobby Dhanjal Foundation”.
