Efficient Portfolio, chartered financial planners in Rutland, has set up the ‘Efficient Charitable Portfolio’.
The Efficient Charitable Portfolio will raise money through donations from staff and clients, in order to give to local communities in Rutland and London, where Efficient Portfolio have offices, along with national charities that their staff and clients nominate.
The fund has been set up under the umbrella of Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation.
The foundation enables companies and individuals to set up their own charitable funds, at the fraction of the legwork and cost of a standalone charity. For invested funds it has a government match available which increases a fund like Efficient Charitable Portfolio by £1 for every £2 donated.
Charlie Reading, Director of Finance, said: “We have been trying to set up our own charity for some time but didn’t have the time to run it ourselves. This is a great way to enable our staff and clients to give to worthy causes and be involved in our local communities.”
Efficient Charitable Portfolio will be holding fundraising events throughout 2014 and hope to have a successful first year.
