Charnwood Community Heroes Day has been organised to showcase the diversity, passion, hard work and great fun of local community groups and organisations.
The event, taking place on Market Street, Loughborough, will include street performers, musicians and singers. There will also be the opportunity for groups to promote their work on a stage outside of Loughborough Town Hall.
Community groups can host a market stall at the event from 9am to 4pm and share their work and success with passers-by. Click here to apply for a stall and for more information.
As well as being a fun packed day the aim is to help groups:
- Sign up new members
- Recruit volunteers
- Find clients/customers
- Announce events
- Network
- Make friends
Visitors will be able to find out what’s going on in their neighbourhood with the potential to get involved with a local group, discover new activities, become a volunteer, join a club or find a new hobby!
