Bobby Dhanjal Wealth Management is delighted to announce that they have set up The Bobby Dhanjal Foundation to support children’s groups across Leicester City.
The Bobby Dhanjal Foundation is made up of funds from personal donations and staff activity and has been set up to support disadvantaged city children between 5 and 12 years old.
Several staff took part in a sponsored bike ride round Rutland Water to raise £793 for the fund which Bobby has matched from company profits.
This is just the first of several staff activities the company will organise to build up their charitable foundation, which will help with immediate needs as well as invest to make a difference long-term difference for local children.
By setting up the fund with Leicestershire & Rutland Community Foundation, Bobby Dhanjal Wealth Management are benefiting from the government match of £1 for every £2 donated for long term local support.
Bobby Dhanjal, Owner, explained ‘We have been trying to set something up for a while as we want to be able to give back to our city. The Community Foundation has worked with us to identify where we want to give and how we can reach people to make a difference. By creating an endowment fund we are increasing our giving by 50% and working to create a legacy for the children of Leicester.’
In 2012/13, The Bobby Dhanjal Foundation is supporting two local children’s charitable and voluntary groups. The first is Leicester Children’s Holiday Centre, Mablethorpe which takes city children away on a traditional seaside holiday, when their families are struggling to afford a break. The other is Goldhill Play Association, one of the six city adventure playgrounds offering local city children free adventure play in a safe, supervised space, close to home.
The Bobby Dhanjal Foundation is managed by us at the Community Foundation. We help many local companies and individuals to give to local needs, for a better city and county for all of us.
