Leicestershire & Rutland Community Foundation is taking part in Vital Signs for the first time this year – an initiative originally pioneered by Community Foundations of Canada in 2006, and adapted more recently for the UK.
Vital Signs is an in-depth research project that takes the pulse of communities and identifies the key challenges that they face, which can be in part addressed through philanthropy. Covering the ten key themes of Fairness, Education & Learning, Strong Communities, Arts/Culture/Heritage, Local Economy, Work, Healthy Living, Environment, Safety, and Housing and Homelessness.
As part of the project, we have launched an online Community Consultation Survey, which asks people to rate their community against each theme above using a simple A to E system. It is anonymous and will take less than five minutes to complete. The results will provide useful insight to back up the research or identify areas for further attention. Please take part here:
