Donors
Our donors are major local philanthropists, or companies with a giving policy, or groups of friends and colleagues raising money. Some are public organisations.
Until 2011 we can more than double any donation – the government will match £ for £ anything you give – including the Gift Aid on it! So £5,000 becomes £12,000.
It‘s simple to set up a Fund with us:
• You contact us, with an amount of £1000 or above (cash or shares)
• You choose a name and a cause or need to support.
• We draw up a Fund Agreement to confirm your requirements.
• We keep track of each individual fund, and, every year, we draw off the interest gained from your fund, to support the needs you choose.
You can set up a Fund which is entirely spent within a set timescale - or we can arrange a combination of both kinds of local giving
We report at least once a year to you and we fulfill all other reporting requirements with the Charity Commission. We can also offer meeting other donors, meeting people your Fund has helped, more frequent reporting and publicity, if you wish.
Public Organisations
We have a track record in managing public funding streams. We can administer and manage your grant programmes to meet required outcomes and other conditions in a cost-effective and time-efficient way.
We have given around £3m to date to help meet a huge range of local needs: to playgroups, cancer research; a community radio station; hospices; support for the elderly, training for school leavers; sports, arts, wildlife and the environment.
