Making Local Life Better Fund (Currently Open, previously known as the Donor Matching Scheme)
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Making Local Life Better July panel has been postponed until October. Applications can still be submitted, however no decisions will be made until October, as our current priority is awarding funding to projects impacted by the Coronavirus outbreak. Any applications already submitted will be moved to the October panel. We will be in touch shortly with applicants around start/end dates.
If your services and beneficiaries have been impacted by the current pandemic, and you are delivering emergency support or are altering the way you are delivering your current services, please visit: https://www.llrcommunityfoundation.org.uk/apply-for-funds/coronavirus-support-fund-llrcf-net/
This small grants programme matches applications from local charitable organisations to the private donor funds that the Community Foundation manages.
There are no set themes or criteria because each donor fund has different aims. Some prefer to support specific projects; some will fund running costs. They may focus on one geographical area, or they may support any need in Leicestershire and Rutland.
What they share is a wish to support local people, local communities and the often “unsung unseen” local groups that meet local needs.
Grant Size Funding requests of up to £3,000 are considered.
Please read the **Making Local Life Better Eligibility and Guidance** before submitting an application.
We welcome applications at any time. The dates below show deadlines of giving rounds.
Round 1: Currently open
Deadline for applications: 4th September 2020 at Midday
Decisions will be made and groups will be notified by after the panel meeting in October (dates to be confirmed). Projects will need to start in November 2020.

Please note that we manage around 50 different family and company funds, and many donors make decisions themselves. We will always try to match a good application where possible, but it may take us some time to find the right donor match and there is never any guarantee of funding.
